These terms cover Ctrl-F Plus Pro, the paid upgrade for the Ctrl-F Plus browser extension. The free extension, including the free parts of the PDF viewer, is not affected by them.
Who is selling
Ctrl-F Plus Pro is sold by Chavez Consulting Corp ("we") through Polar Software Inc. ("Polar"). Polar is the merchant of record and authorized reseller: it processes your payment, issues your invoice, collects and remits sales tax or VAT, and handles billing support. Your purchase is also governed by Polar's buyer terms. Google is not the seller of Ctrl-F Plus Pro.
What Pro includes
- Your PDF tabs take part in the cross-tab search alongside your web tabs.
- Regular-expression search inside the PDF viewer's search panel.
- Use on up to three devices at a time. You can remove a device in the extension's Settings or in the Polar customer portal.
Everything else in Ctrl-F Plus, including the PDF viewer, its annotations, and text recognition for scanned pages, is free and stays free.
Pro requires Google Chrome on a desktop computer (version 113 or later) with the current version of Ctrl-F Plus from the Chrome Web Store. Pro is not sold for the Firefox add-on, which stays free.
Plans and prices
The plans and prices are shown on the pricing page. Prices are in US dollars. Sales tax or VAT may be added at checkout based on your billing address.
- The monthly and annual plans are subscriptions. They renew automatically at the end of each billing period until you cancel. Polar will tell you in advance if the price increases.
- The lifetime plan is a one-time payment. It gives you Pro for as long as Ctrl-F Plus Pro exists, including its future updates, with no renewal. It is for your own use and cannot be transferred.
Cancelling a subscription
You can cancel at any time in the Polar customer portal. Sign in with the email address you bought with. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, and Pro keeps working until then. The portal also lets you download invoices and update your payment method.
Refunds
Polar decides refunds as the merchant of record. Polar may grant a refund when you ask within 10 days of a one-time purchase or within 30 days of a subscription renewal, and it decides each request. Fees for billing periods that have already elapsed are not refunded, except where the law requires it. Nothing here limits the consumer rights you have under the law where you live.
To ask for a refund, contact Polar at support@polar.sh with your order reference, or email us at support@ctrl-f.plus and we will pass the request on.
Your license
Your license key is personal to you. You can activate it on up to three devices; if every seat is in use, remove a device before adding another. If you buy again while a license is already active in your browser, the extension keeps the first license, so contact us to sort out a duplicate purchase. Signing out of a device does not free its seat; remove the device in Settings or in the portal.

Warranty
Ctrl-F Plus Pro is provided as is. We work to keep it working with current versions of Chrome, but we do not promise that it will be free of errors or that it will work with every PDF or website.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The version on this page applies to purchases made after its effective date. We will post the new version here with a new effective date.
